Sunday: The Lorraine Kimblin Show – 7pm/8pm

Bio: Hello! My name is Lorraine Kimblin. I am a relatively new presenter on Enjoy Radio and have been told that I need to post a bio of myself on this ‘ere Faceache – oops, sorry, Facebook!! (Edit: It’s the website) So, here goes!!

I was born in Bolton in the 1950’s. I grew up in a home of diverse cultures, Ukrainian and Italian, both of which blessed and shaped my life in all the right directions. I studied English and Art at Sedgley Park Teacher Training College in Prestwich, Manchester, and went on to teach English, for the next 33 years in the same school, until taking early retirement in 2012. Enjoying lots of quality retirement time, lockdown 2020 put paid to all my usual pursuits and activities and provided an opportunity for me to turn my hand to writing my debut novel, ‘Cotton Candy’. I have recently celebrated my 42nd wedding anniversary and live with husband Keith and cat, George IVth, in the Horwich countryside near Bolton. I enjoy listening to tranquil piano music, being ‘arty’ and adding to my shoe collection!!

As a debut writer I was advised, by my developmental editor, to join the world of social media!! Somewhat reluctantly I heeded to this advice and, hey ho, a whole new world of connection bestowed itself upon me!! Now, I even find myself presenting ‘The Lorraine Kimblin Show”, on Enjoy Radio, and feel incredibly blessed to be part of a team working, in association with Purple Angels, to raise awareness of dementia around the world 🙏🙏
Would love you to join me on SUNDAY’S, from 7PM, for an hour of fabulous music and chats in between.
Would also love you to check out ‘COTTON CANDY’ on AMAZON 🙏🙏
